Deep Dive Specialty SSI
The Deep Dive Specialty course from SSI is designed for divers who wish to enhance their skills and confidence in deeper dives. During this course, you will learn the techniques and procedures necessary to dive safely to a maximum depth of 40 meters.
This course is perfect for those looking to expand their limits and enjoy a deeper and more exciting diving experience, with a solid foundation in safety and technical skills.
Deep Diving Theory:
The key aspects of deep diving are covered, such as the physiology of the body at greater depths, the effects of pressure, decompression risks, and how to minimize them.
Buoyancy and Equipment Management:
You will learn advanced buoyancy control techniques, gas management, and how to use your equipment effectively and safely during deep dives.
Deep Diving Safety:
Specific safety procedures for deep diving, including the importance of dive planning, gas management, underwater communication, and emergency procedures.
Practical Dives:
Depending on your level, you will complete between 2 and 4 dives where you will apply the theoretical concepts, including buoyancy control, depth management, and constant monitoring of dive parameters.
Duration:
The course can be completed in 1 or 2 days, depending on the diver’s level:
- If you have the Advanced Adventurer certification or the Deep Adventure Dive specialty, the course can be completed in 1 day, with a total of 2 dives.
- If you do not have these certifications, the course will be completed in 2 days, with 4 practical dives in total.
Objetive:
Learn how to dive safely to depths of up to 40 meters, managing the associated risks and developing the confidence to perform deep dives safely.
Prerequisites:
- To take the course in 1 day (with 2 dives), you must have the Advanced Adventurer certification or the Deep Adventure Dive specialty.
- If you do not have these certifications, the course will be completed in 2 days (with 4 dives).
International Certification:
Upon completion, you will receive the Deep Dive Specialty certification from SSI, which qualifies you to dive to a maximum depth of 40 meters, with an advanced understanding of how to manage the risks associated with deep diving.
Confidence in Deep Diving:
You will gain the skills and experience needed to dive safely at greater depths, enhancing your ability to handle situations that occur only at deeper depths.
Increased Autonomy and Safety:
You will be better prepared to plan, execute, and manage your dives to depths of up to 40 meters safely, increasing your confidence as a diver.
Duration
Day 1:
For those taking the course over 2 days, we cover the theory of deep diving and conduct the first two practical dives, where you will begin to familiarize yourself with the techniques and procedures of diving at greater depths.
Day 2:
We continue with the other two practical dives, where you will refine your skills in gas management, buoyancy control, and safety at greater depths, up to 40 meters.
