Scuba Diver SSI

The Scuba Diver course from SSI is a great option for those who want a more advanced certification than the Basic Diver but with a shorter time commitment. You’ll dive into the world of scuba diving safely, gaining the skills needed to enjoy your first open water dives.

This course is perfect for those who want to start diving but don’t have the time for a longer course, or for those who prefer to dive under the supervision of an instructor.

Theory:

You’ll learn the basic principles of diving, the physics and physiology of diving, how to use the equipment, and safety rules. On Day 1, we’ll cover half of the Open Water Diver theory, leaving you ready to continue with the full course.

Confined Water Session (Pool):

On Day 1, you’ll master essential skills like buoyancy control, underwater communication, and equipment handling in a controlled environment.

Open Water Dives:

On Day 2, you’ll do two open water dives (with a maximum depth of 12 meters), applying everything you’ve learned in the pool and the theory.

Prerequisites:

Must be at least 10 years old and know how to swim. No prior diving experience is required.

Objective:

By the end of the course, you’ll be able to dive independently to a maximum depth of 12 meters under the supervision of an instructor.

International Certification:

Upon completion, you’ll receive the Scuba Diver certification, valid worldwide, allowing you to dive with an instructor to a maximum depth of 12 meters.

Next Step:

The Scuba Diver course is the first step toward the Open Water Diver course. If you decide to continue, you can complete the Open Water Diver course in just a few more days, with the dives and part of the theory already covered in the Scuba Diver course.

Duration

The course takes 2 days. On Day 1, we’ll complete the entire confined water session (pool) and cover half of the Open Water Diver theory. On Day 2, we’ll focus on open water dives.
